At Bath Garden Design we have been offering garden consultation visits for many years and this service was first conceived after being told repeatedly by clients that they had a gardener, but that they did not seem to know what they were doing or that the client wanted to do the work themselves and needed some help and advice to do it.
What we have also noticed is that garden owners are looking for support and advice in making decisions about their gardens and that unless they get so called ‘free’ advice from a gardening company, and this is often biased towards securing a job, there are very few places to go for that level of expertise.
We make our visits as interesting and informative as possible, covering all of the mundane aspects of the garden, from fencing, walls and boundaries, to the existing planting, practical elements such as access, where to keep bins etc, who is using the garden and for what and how much time our clients have to spend either using or maintaining their space.
The visit is also inspirational and we offer lots of design ideas, ways to improve on what is already there, how to add in additional garden objects such as furniture, lighting, decoration and more. Our clients are linked to our extensive Pinterest boards so that they can get some ideas in advance of our visit and once we have completed their summary report they will also receive a wealth of information about plants and resources and links to sites to find any number of items or materials that they might require.
